Thank Heavens for Disasters

Disasters are great. One of my friends apartment flooded and had to evacuate for the entire day while construction came in. Lucky for me she has a nanny take care of her son while she works and she wanted to know if they could park it at my place all day. Well, YA!!!! I was able to do so much in those 7 hours because Sienna was so intrigued with her son Tristan. Maybe I should start having them over more often because I was able to make this fudge with nuts (warning:nut haters stop reading now)
and these hazlenut truffles
and package these goodie bags (time consuming too)

make tons of these candied pecans with my sioux chef right there next to me
wave to these guys
introduce them to Bing on loud and clean up a big ole' sticky mess.
Last week: My two sickies. Brett just constantly tired and Sienna with a fever for three days. It was so sad. She sat in one spot and hardly moved for the first two days. That is not a real pacifier it doubles as a thermometer and I kept taking her tempurature like a neurotic person. 102.3 to 102.6. Finally after three days the fever broke then she broke out in a rash all over her body. Sienna is better now, Brett....you'll have to ask him yourself.
P.S. Microwaving popcorn has never been so much fun. Thank you for all the cards, letters, and e-mails wishing us A Merry Christmas, Peas on Earth (that's right peas), and just plain cuteness. They all mean so much!
