This month is a little harder to write than the others, this means that next month my baby turns one and is technically no longer a baby. I can hardly stand the thought. She is so much fun, so sweet that I want to keep her this way always. I guess that is not an option so here goes what is new for this month:
She sometimes just calls me Mom
- Brett is Dada and when he walks through the door there is an enthusiastic greeting awaiting him
She knows what bye bye means and goes to the door and will stand there and reach for the door handle
I can read to her and she will stop everything sit perfectly still on my lap and give the book her full attentionShe has excellent posture
She isn't interested in TV...I've tried and it just doesn't appeal to her
Still is breastfeeding
When we have a particular boy over she looks at him straight in the eye and babbles to him, sometimes he listens sometimes he doesn't. When he starts losing interest she will yell to get his attention, it's hilarious
Eats like a champ
Kisses us a lot but has slowed down on kissing all her friends, maybe she has been rejected too much?
When I show her a swimming pool she starts this half panting half breathing routine and has started to arch her back so I will let her down. That happens in the grocery store too, Costco and pretty much anywhere these days. She wants to walk everywhere on her own and loves to push the grocery carts. My house is officially a complete disaster area. Every drawer she can get into she does and spreads it all over the house.
She has an obsession with bathing suits. She will pull them out of her bottom drawer and carry them around and try to put them on for hours. It makes us feel bad especially on days when it's too cold to swim.
She isn't a wimp, when she falls she doesn't cry. She is pretty tough but is sensitive if you laugh at her.
She is at a stage that she is not happy when a toy is taken away from her and she will let you know it. Sharing isn't in the cards just yet.
Still lets me rock her to sleep every night. I hope that never ends.
