Has it been a month since I have posted? Wow. I was sick, then Sienna was sick and then I was sick again. I try to keep this going for mostly Sienna so she can have it printed up neatly in a book one day to see how cool her childhood was. I still love checking in on all my other blogging buddies and miss it but cannot blog during the day anymore. Sienna thinks she owns the computer. She types away and re-arranges things I didn't even know could move. A friend came by tonight and Sienna had the melt downs of all melt downs while she checked something on my computer. She thinks it really is hers. It took me a solid hour to calm her down.
How are people not utterly exhausted every night? I don't get where the energy comes from to blog, twitter, facebook, i-pod, i-phone, i-have-a-headache, and who knows what else...oh and don't say it's the Diet Coke. I am on that bandwagon and that fire only lasts for so long.
Tonight was interesting. I had a sweet person (who will go nameless) leave fries in the oven so when I turned the oven on to broil the poor fries didn't stand a chance...they burst into flames. I tried to hurry and open the windows so the alarm wouldn't go off but the smoke was too powerful. Our entire building had to be evacuated for a half an hour right at dinner time. Fireman came, workers from our complex were dragged out of their homes, we all laughed about it in the lobby. At least they laughed while I was there. The owner of Dots Cupcakes lives in our building and told us she had a box of cupcakes in her car...we begged her to get them. Oh ya, we all sampled a free red velvet cupcake. Sometimes accidents are a good thing. I just realized the last post was about cupcakes too. I promise my ENTIRE life doesn't revolve around them.
Side Note: I do have to say Sienna was the most excited person in the room when she brought cupcakes in the famous polka dotted box. Brett has turned her into a cupcake addict. It doesn't help that it's their tradition to walk through old town on the weekends and get a cupcake, get to carry the bag and get to eat a sample while you wait for your order.

Oh Sachia--that is so TERRIBLE!! Sorry!!! At least everyone was able to laugh about it.
We once had to call the fire department at my parents house on Thanksgiving because I spilled something in the oven and it caught fire. It was so humiliating because all the family was there...and as you can imagine, they still bring it up EVERY THANKSGIVING. UGH!!!
Hope your neighbors don't give you too much grief about it. At least you got a cupcake out of it!
Hang in there!
XOXO
omg. i am seriously laughing over here. i don't know what's better -- that YOU caused the whole place to get evac'ed or that the dots chick lives in your building [hello!!! you need to tap that!]. oh friend. glad you could laugh it off :)
Sienna is MY kind of girl -- we're both cupcake addicts!! Haha! She's so cute. I'm so sorry about the fire incident!! AHH! That's stressful, but at least there were cupcakes in it for ya. :-)
And I don't understand how people have so much energy to do all that blogging/tweeting stuff, either. Blogging is my main time-suck, but I try to draw the line there because I know it would get out of control with all those other things!
Say no more about being exhausted, sister! I feel your pain and if it weren't for Alice's sake, I'd stop blogging.
The fire story!?!? Unreal! I just saw the Friend's episode last night when the girls light their apt on fire, so this story is very timely. Glad you at least got a cupcake out of it!!!
Love you!
Hey, I got your message. No problem! I'm glad it was useful. I thought it was super helpful. I'm always trying to think of new foods for Sara and that was a great guide. Hope you guys are having a great week! If you ever make a trip out here to AZ, I'd love to see you!
I was wonderng where you went. I am glad you got a good laugh and something sweet out of the situation. Of course your life revolves around cupcakes ha ha...

I can't imagine a better person for this to happen to! You crack me up! It is experiences like these that make blogging so much fun! I am glad everyone made it out alive and that all is well. Oh,,,and that you got to snack on a cupcake - the silver lining in a bad situation! Haha!
